Welcome to this year's LOS ANGELES ANIMATION FESTIVAL NEWSLETTER. Next Saturday we're having a special event, screening classic, restored MAX FLEISCHER cartoons with a panel of industry guests.

So without further ado, read on…

 Sat. Night MAX FLEISCHER! 

The LAAF is in Hollywood once again this year, housed at the Eastwood Performing Art Center. Saturday night is a special night indeed. We're proud and excited to be screening newly restored classics from the Max Fleischer Studio. Shorts include Betty Boop, Koko the Clown, Superman and Popeye.

These amazing shorts are interspersed with a fun panel discussion featuring a host of animation industry greats: 

• Dave Wasson (CupHead and Mickey shorts) 
• Howard Baker (Pharrell William's Brick by Brick), 
• Billy West (Voice of Ren & Stimpy) 

and 

• Historian Ray Pointer, author of The Art and Inventions of Max Fleischer.

So join us for an evening of rare animation, like you've never seen them before followed by a panel discussion by some of the industry’s finest artists.

 FESTIVAL PARKING 

Our festival parking lot is just around the corner. See the map for directions. Open Saturday and Sunday (noon-midnight) but check times with attendant - Dec 7-8. No overnight parking. It's only $10 (if you mention you're here for LAAF 2024. Normally it's $15) - CASH or VENMO ONLY! See you at the festival!

 ADDITIONAL PARKING 

If our lot fills up there is nearby parking (not affiliated with the festival or venue)...

At the underground parking structure around the corner from the EASTWOOD (see illustration) at: 1110 N Western Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90029.

4 hours, and all-day. Closes approx. 11.30/midnight - check times/prices with the attendant.
