Welcome to this year's LOS ANGELES ANIMATION FESTIVAL NEWSLETTER. We have so much exciting news to announce in the coming days that we'll be sending out 2 additional NEWSLETTERS before our OPENING NIGHT EVENT on Friday Dec. 6th 7.15pm.

So without further ado, read on…

 Opening Night TOON-ATHON Party! 

Opening Night TOON-ATHON Party! Celebrate the Opening Night of LAAF 2024 with a crazy smorgasbord of animation from around the world! Projected on film, on the big screen. Rare and classic animation shorts - from the CUTE to the very BIZARRE - COMMERCIALS, MOVIE TRAILERS, MOVIE EXTRACTS, CLASSIC SHORTS, RARE RACY ADULT SHORTS and so much more! Gonna be WILD! TICKETS HERE

Highlights include a special abridged version of the classic (and gore filled) WATERSHIP DOWN (1978). Who knew wabbits could be so damn frightening! We love 1970s 'family' films!

We'll also be screening the rarely seen VINCENT, TIM BURTON'S first stop motion short. Plus silly and outlandish animated ads from the U.K, classic Disney trailers, racy shorts from the 1930s, classic TOM & JERRY, POPEYE and Warner Bros shorts, and rare R-rated animation from Oscar Winner (and STANLEY KUBRICK'S favorite animator) the enfant terrible of British animation, BOB GODFREY.

All projected on Super 8 film on the big screen. With a fun party atmosphere. Drinks available (21 years old and above - ID required). Plus magic and illusions in the intermission, and a FREE raffle! And lots of audience participation! So let's get LAAF 2024 on to a fantastic start! TICKETS HERE.

 FESTIVAL PARKING 

Our festival parking lot is just around the corner. See the map for directions. Open Friday (6-11pm), Saturday and Sunday (noon-midnight) - Dec 6-8. No overnight parking. It's only $10 (if you mention you're here for LAAF 2024. Normally it's $15) - CASH or VENMO ONLY! See you at the festival!

If our lot fills up there is nearby parking (not affiliated with the festival or venue)...

At the underground parking structure around the corner from the SOHO (see illustration) at: 1110 N Western Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90029.

4 hours, and all-day. Closes approx. 11.30/midnight - check times/prices with the attendant.
