Although we've been away for a while (in the Philippines) we are back now with lots to tell you all over the coming weeks ahead. Our very own short film festival and film community get-together, INDIE FILM LA, is back for an exciting brand new season. Plus we're also open for entries now. Details below. We also have some exciting news from some very good friends of ours.

INDIE FILM LA
Join us for the latest, exciting season of INDIE FILM LA. Screening the best shorts in L.A. and Southern CA. See an eclectic mix of genres and styles at the SOHO CINEMA CLUB. All presented by the filmmakers in question. All filmmakers introduce their work to an audience of their peers and like-minded filmmakers.
The current season runs every Sat and Sunday from April 25 - May 9th. But we'll be back in late May and throughout the Summer.
After the screenings both filmmakers and our special guests mingle in the outdoor patio. It's a space where filmmakers can talk about their work, get critical and essential feedback from like-minded creatives, while networking and establishing future artistic and career connections.
Step & Repeat, red carpet photos taken after the show in the Patio. So dress to impress!
With special pre-show Film-themed Magic and Illusions for the Intermission Magician. Snack and drinks available in the patio. It's a great filmmaking community so come one, come all!
And if you want to enter for inclusion into this year's season, simply enter through FILM FREEWAY. It's absolutely FREE to submit your entry. Just remember we only screen films if the filmmakers can attend - as we have short Q&As with the filmmakers after each one is screened. It's about creating community and making friends.

Crikey it's the HAUNTED HOOKERS!
Our very good friends at LEOMARK STUDIOS, Erik and Maria have always helped us out - whether it's successfully distributing films from friends and filmmakers we know, to donating hundreds of Blu-rays and promo material to our many raffles over the years - so it's now time for us to do the same.
They currently have a wonderful project they're currently putting together. It's an outrageous horror comedy called HAUNTED HOOKERS starring Scream King and Queen Dave Sheridan and Felissa Rose. Penned by award-winning writers and comediennes and produced by Oscar winning Special Makeup Effects artist Ve Neill, Haunted Hookers is set in a previously abandoned Nevada brothel just bought by Erica Lauren, a New York madam. Looking for a new start after being hounded by NYC police, Erica and her girls get more than they bargained for when the vengeful ghosts of past courtesans show up to get even with the men who wronged them. Inspired by actual hauntings at the World Famous Mustang Ranch in Sparks, Nevada.
And they have a KICKSTARTER campaign right now, in its final stretch. So if you love horror, dark comedy, and movies that take wild, unapologetic risks… take a look. And don't wait. The campaign is only on for a few more days. It promises to be a wild ride.
