Josie Thomson is an acclaimed international speaker, multi-award winning executive coach, author, two-time cancer survivor, and resilience and mindset expert.
Josie is passionate about unleashing the full force of human potential, unblocking deceptive beliefs and narratives to achieve greater meaning and fulfillment, and creating more sustainable ways of living, working, relating and being. Josie's teachings are a catalyst for supporting others to achieve momentum, action, measurable results and self-mastery. She is passionate about inspiring people to see the world with a deeper sense of awareness, compassion, and love.
An avid learner, Josie has completed formal certifications in mindfulness and a number of healing modalities, as well as masters studies in the Neuroscience of Leadership through the NeuroLeadership Institute (NLI). She is also a former VP for the International Coach Federation, and the North Brisbane Chamber of Commerce.
Josie has a knack of simplifying complex science into practical wisdom for everyday empowerment in life, work, relationships, creative expression and awareness.
A well sought after speaker, Josie has shared the stage with top motivational speakers on the global speaking circuit including the likes of Brene Brown, Wayne Dyer and the Dalai Lama. She has appeared on radio and talkback shows and been featured in international and national magazines and newspapers.
A true storyteller with a passion for living a life of 'no regrets', she shares her personal stories authentically from the heart, weaving them with her deep understanding of the brain to provide those true 'aha!' moments that motivate and inspire.
An expert in her field, Josie is one of the few internationally certified master coaches in Australia (MCC). She has been awarded Coach of the Year for three consecutive years and was a Telstra Business Woman of the Year State Finalist.
Josie co-authored a leadership book with Dr Jeffrey M Schwartz and Art Kleiner: The Wise Advocate - The Inner Voice of Strategic Leadership which has been nominated by Columbia University Press for several awards.
Josie specializes in partnering with successful individuals to leverage skills and abilities toward exceptional outcomes in business, leadership and relationships. She has coached hundreds of executives and leaders to achieve massive personal and business breakthroughs. Her client list includes Macquarie Bank, Seventh Day Adventist, Australian Taxation Office, Origin Energy, Suncorp, BMA, AstraZeneca, Coles Myer, Queensland Investment Corporation (QIC), McDonalds, Rio Tinto, CBA, Brisbane Airport Corporation, QSuper and the Queensland Government - to name a few.
Josie knows a thing or two about resilience. As a two-time cancer survivor, she is living proof that: more than education, more than experience, more than training, more than any one single factor, RESILIENCE determines who succeeds and who fails.
Having survived cancer twice, most recently a brain tumor, Josie is devoted to sharing the learnings from her experiences for the improvement in the lives of others. She supports people in overcoming their fears and stressors, encouraging them to connect with life and powerfully express their true and authentic selves.

In this interactive presentation you will develop practical applied mindfulness techniques for connecting into the voice of your 'wise inner loving guide' (your Wise Advocate) and take charge of self defeating thoughts.
This presentation is about a seemingly small choice that we can make, any time we have a decision, that can help us gain influence, impact, and understanding over time. If we make that choice consistently, our prowess for wise and strategic self (and other) leadership will increase. The more we choose to connect with the Wise Advocate, the faster our progress toward that type of leadership will accelerate. And the more of a profound positive difference we'll make.
