Now, on to the news about my very first book.

When I teach others about writing their books, I talk about the books I've written.

The first one of those was this biography for children, With Daring Faith: A Biography of Amy Carmichael, when I was just 30 years old. (That didn't seem as young to me then as it does now.)

Working on that book was the first time I had ever come face to face with the issue of childhood sexual abuse, as Amy Carmichael rescued children from sex slavery in India.

And then, many years later in my current ministry, to my amazement I have met adults who were sexually abused (and even trafficked) as children who loved that book when they were young.
