Hi ~

This past week while Tim was away on a business trip, I blocked out the time to finally create the audio recording of my first Untwisting Scriptures book (rights, bitterness, and taking up offenses).

Yes, the one from 8 years ago, the one people have been asking me to record but I said couldn’t be recorded because it had visual elements that made it impossible, gray boxes and charts and footnotes.

But once I decided it could be figured out, it really wasn’t that hard.

Reading this book aloud into the microphone this past week was the first time I had interacted with it in about 5 years (since creating the script for this video).

Back when I first wrote Untwisting Scriptures in 2016, I got sick of it, SICK of it, I tell you, because there was so much research involved, the twisted teachings made me feel so slimy, the book needed so much editing, and I had to read it about a million times for various things.

I put it away “on the shelf” in my mind so thoroughly that I even blanked out when Julie Roys asked me a question about it in a 2021 interview. (I’m not providing that link, haha.)

But upon this fresh reading, I was struck anew with the importance of these topics.

“It’s a good book,” I said. Lol.

A friend spoke to me about creating a short-run podcast just to discuss each of my Untwisting Scriptures books.

For the first time, I’m feeling like maybe that could actually work. Maybe I could do that.
