Last night I watched the entire Amazon-produced documentary "Shiny Happy People." The subtitle is "Duggar Family Secrets," but it's mostly about the Bill Gothard cult they came from.

Everyone interviewed did an amazing job, especially Jill Duggar Dillard.

The documentary was woven together in a professional and engaging style.

My heart sank, though, because I saw that the documentary implied that the Gothard cult represented all of Christianity. The conclusion you were being led to draw was that Christianity is only toxic and has nothing positive or helpful to offer.

But honestly, it’s Amazon, so what can you expect.

As for me, I’ve been involved in untwisting what cult leaders like Gothard teach for a number of years now.

I've been showing with all the clarity I’m capable of that this is not real Christianity.

And showing what true Christianity really is.
