Next week, Amazon will be coming out with a docu-series that looks at Bill Gothard's teachings.

He's the man who influenced the Duggar family (19 Kids and Counting) and hundreds of thousands of others in the fundamentalist and evangelical Christian world.

His teachings have certainly been examined before, by many--even by me in Untwisting Scriptures #1 and Untwisting Scriptures #2.

But today I'm diving in again to look at some more of his foundational teachings and see what their Scriptural basis is.

Or not.

How did anyone ever think these were really based on the Bible?

Including me?

Crazy, I know. And it would be hilarious if it weren't so doggone serious.
