Charlie Kirk and "Don't Waste Your Cancer"

Sep 21, 2025 9:01 am

Hi ~

In the wake of Charlie Kirk's death, I've grieved along with many Americans. Of course, like you, I didn't agree with him on everything, and on a few things I disagreed with him strongly.

But he was a young man of hope and goodwill. I appreciated his engagement with young people, encouraging them to think for themselves and consider viewpoints based for the most part in the Scriptures.

And I was stunned at the cold-hearted cheering of his murder.

It has been a week of grieving.

Today's article, a guest commentary on John Piper's "Don't Waste Your Cancer," has been scheduled for a few months. I decided to keep it as is.

I hope, in the face of whatever you're going through, you'll find today's guest article to be helpful, as we think about who God really is and what He really desires for His people.

All my best, in grief and in hope,

Rebecca
