Good morning,

Happy Friday! I'm here sipping my coffee this morning...and I just read a great devotional I want to share with you.

Quote:

"I read about a sculptor who fashioned a lion out of solid stone. When asked how he had accomplished such a feat, he replied, “It was easy. All I did was chip away everything that doesn’t look like a lion.”

Today, God wants to chip away everything in your life that doesn’t look like Christ."

That really hit home with me! Shouldn't that be our BIGGEST goal in life? To just become more Christ-like?

I don't know about you, but it's so easy to get distracted these days by all the busyness around us. I think modern technology keeps our minds flooded with too many shiny objects and negative information.

So, if there if there is ONE thing that I might encourage you today, it would be to simplify your goals to have one main purpose... to please God and to become more Christ-like.

That will take some commitment on our part. To know God more, we will have to commune with Him daily. To become more Christ-like, we will have to study the things he said and did in God's Word.
