[HCH] Are you bold? New devotional for YOU

May 26, 2022 2:55 pm

Good morning,

I woke up this morning around 4:26 am and couldn't go back to sleep. So, I was able to get a head start on publishing today's devotional.

There is also an AUDIO for those you would would like to listen while you work.

(SKIP DOWN to the bottom of this email if you're in a hurry to read or listen.)

I was thrilled that some of you shared the challenge in your prayer life in the chat thread last week. I wanted my readers to understand that we ALL struggle in this area, as well as so many other areas in our life.

If you missed last week's email, you can still participate by sharing your comment here: (Or read what others have said.)

Let's Chat about Prayer

What might be next...

I'm wanting to create more of community platform there on Substack (where I created the chat thread) because they have given me so many tools to use, such as recording a quick audio, or starting a chat thread... and soon they will be releasing video ability to everyone.

I also LOVE that I don't need to spend much time fussing or formatting text. You are forced to keep things simple in your writing...

AND they maintain the server and software...it's a no-sweat platform. Unless you've ever maintained a self-hosted blog, you will not fully grasp all that goes on behind the scenes of updating your software plugins, dealing with security issues, and on and on it goes.

I'm considering renaming the "Create with Me" space there at Substack.... but not sure what I would call it yet. ?? I'm thinking to create a chat thread there and have you all submit your ideas.

So, this is just some things that I'm pondering on that would make my online ministry work less stressful. I'm not going to make a big leap without praying on it a couple of more days.

I'm wishing you all a happy "Memorial Day" weekend.

A sad side note:

My heart goes out to those in the recent school shooting. Our church had a special prayer for them last night. And we need to continue to pray for all those involved, school children, other teachers, even the police department and medical team. There is so much trauma and after effect for so many that were involved.

John 14:1 encourages us, "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me."

My friend, keep your eyes on God!

Keep walking in faith,

Rhonda White
