 !Hola Familia!

Hi ,

Here we are in full Fall season and Winter is coming (GOT anyone??? šŸ˜) I hope you guys had a great Halloween filled with treats and no tricks. Next up, Thanksgiving. Turkey, Pernil, football, food comas and Coquito are on the horizon. Iā€™m here to help you put a healthy Latin twist to your holiday meals. Iā€™ve got a recipe for you down below. Plus follow me on my socials and keep up with my blog. I post tons of recipes and wellness tips there too. Here at Healthy Rican weā€™ve got some other things to celebrate besides Thanksgiving. Todayā€™s the day weā€™re dropping our branding refresh!!!

I've been wanting to do a brand refresh for quite some time now. When I first started Healthy Rican, I never knew what to expect and how big of a brand this would be. Thanks to the support of the community and all of you, we've grown bigger and faster than I could have ever imagined. As many of you know, I started my brand as Nutrition Dork. I wanted to have a blog where I can share my own journey through autoimmune disease as a Holistic Health Coach. As well as share health and nutrition insights, healthy recipes, especially my cultural Puerto Rican foods. Early in my Nutrition Dork journey, it quickly transitioned into the Healthy Rican cookbook, and from that the Healthy Rican Latin spices.

Healthy Rican was intended to be just a small part of the Nutrition Dork journey. Which is why we were mainly using the colors established for the Nutrition Dork brand. As Healthy Rican grew it has turned into its own brand. The branding refresh is my way of establishing Healthy Ricanā€™s identity apart from Nutrition Dork. Healthy Rican represents many things, among that is our mission to provide pure authentic Latin flavor. Our new colors represent and give out home cooked meal vibes. Iā€™m so proud of it and extremely grateful for you all. Head on over to HealthyRican.com and take a look! Let me know what you think.

Letā€™s Get Cooking

Miraaaa, Sansgiving šŸ˜† aka Thanksgiving is around the corner and what better way to showcase our Healthy Latin twists with a Mofongo Turkey stuffing!

If Mofongo is not your thing, thatā€™s ok. Here's a Sweet Potato stuffing I found online that I wanted to share with you. It's a great healthy option, plus it's Paleo and Whole30 Approved! It looks delicious and can easily be a side dish or even use the leftovers for breakfast.

This recipe is truly easy to throw together ā€“ which is a lifesaver on Thanksgiving! You peel and chop the sweet potatoes, toss in oil and sea salt, and roast them in a single layer so they get nice and toasty.

While the potatoes roast, you cook the remaining ingredients on the stovetop. This wonā€™t take any longer than the potatoes will take to roast. Once the potatoes are done, you toss everything together and bake it for about 15 minutes in a casserole dish to get everything nice and toasty. Read the full recipe here

Collaborations

As a small business owner, Iā€™m all about lifting each other up. Through my social media pages I have been fortunate to interact and develop relationships with all types of small business owners, as well as influencers. I value our engagement and many of them have become friends and part of the Healthy Rican familia.

Iā€™m pleased to announce my collaboration with Mami Wear. Mami Wear is a small business dedicated to creating Puerto Rican inspired apparel. Theyā€™re all about celebrating each other and our culture. They have partnered up with me and created the Healthy Rican collection! Thereā€™s shirts, mugs, and even a Christmas tree ornament. Perfect for gifts for the holiday season. Check it out here. While youā€™re there make sure to check out the entire store. Iā€™m telling you hay un poco de todo there. You will not be disappointed.
