How’s it going Familia?

February is flying by isn’t it? I was in PR for 10 days and since I’ve been back, I’ve been quite busy getting back into the groove of things. Life, business, family, health… I feel like I blinked and poof, February is almost gone. 

And then there is mindfulness and mental health to take care of, and on top of my list. One thing I’ve been pondering about is this… There is a saying in Puerto Rico que dice: “No soy un billete de $100 para caerle bien a todo el mundo”. Meaning, I’m not a 100 dollar bill to be liked by everyone. In life and in business. As an entrepreneur and brand owner I’m learning that no matter what I (we) do, no le voy a caer bien a todo el mundo (we won’t be liked by everyone). 

I say this because something interesting and disheartening happened recently that really took me by surprise. Perhaps I’ll tell the sensitive story in the future, but for now let's just say this… Even if you are a 100 dollar bill, someone can say “Why aren’t you a 200 dollar bill?” 

While we can’t win them all, there is always a bright side to every story. For every person who doubts you, there are hundreds, if not thousands, rooting for your success. And that’s true for all of us! So why not focus on those who believe in you? For me, that’s you, the one reading this email and I appreciate you!

After attending the first ever Vegan Paradise Festival in Puerto Rico, my heart is overjoyed with excitement and appreciation. We are doing the thing… We are taking Healthy Rican to the next level, and it’s all thanks to the support of our community. The love received in Puerto Rico was uplifting and just what I needed to focus on those people that are excited to see our brand thrive.
