 !Hola Familia!

Hi ,

Happy August!! Can you believe it? How’s your Summer going so far? Is it back to school where you live? Here in Buffalo we still have one more month left of Summer and then we are off to my favorite season, Fall. For now, I’d like to enjoy the warmth and Birthday month.

Speaking of my birthday. To celebrate, I’m giving away my Savory Spice Mix. Well technically not giving it away, but offering it at a very low cost. Why? Because it’s my favorite and all I want for my birthday is for you to try it. So on my birthday, the Savory Spice Mix will be only $4 plus shipping! Only 7.99 TOTAL! Save the date and keep an eye out for the announcement on social media. The sale will be one day ONLY. Save the date; August 12.

Trips and Festivals

We’ve (meaning me) have had a busy Summer so far. In June I spent 3 weeks in Puerto Rico where I attended an empowering financial summit (Our Money Our Power) hosted by the beautiful Jannese from @yoquierodineropodcast, meet and visited potential collaborators, enjoyed the presence of loved ones, while I fueled myself with the sun in order to continue our mission for Healthy Rican.

In July, I visited Florida where we have some things in the works, attended a few Puerto Rican festivals in NY and PA, along with working on growth, retail, collaborations and more. It’s been a LOT but I’m here for it. Being on the driver's seat of the evolution of Healthy Rican has been challenging, but also exceptionally rewarding.

To add the cherry on top, I’ve also been selected by the IAOTP short for the International Association of Top Professionals, as the Top Health Coach of 2023 for my work building the Healthy Rican brand. I am humbled and honored. I can’t believe I’ll be attending their Gala in NYC this December to receive my award. I’m still pinching myself but also soaking it all in. Hard work does pay off, and I am grateful.

Summer Detox/Hydrating Drink

Here’s another thing I’ve been doing this Summer. Chugging down a detox/hydrating drink. Well not really chugging down, lol. The heat in PR was record breaking, and this drink not only helped/helps keep me hydrated, it also adds nutrition, and helps support my organs during the natural detox process. Here’s how I make it…

What you’ll need:

1 ripe pineapple

1 gallon of water

2 cinnamon sticks

1 small piece of ginger (optional)

Directions:

  • Peel the pineapple, and split the peels in 2 (you’ll have enough for 2 batches/gallons of water). Save the actual pineapple fruit to consume on its own or in piña coladas.
  • In a large pot, add the entire gallon of water. Add half of the pineapple peels, cinnamon sticks and ginger if using.
  • Allow the water to come to boil, and once it’s boiling, set the timer for 5 minutes.
  • After 5 minutes of boiling, turn the heat off and allow the water to cool down.
  • Remove the pineapple peels, cinnamon and ginger, and bring the water back to the gallon container. If a lot of water evaporates, you may top off the gallon with fresh cold water.
  • Enjoy the beverage ice cold throughout the day. To enhance the flavor of your water, you may also add fresh fruits like strawberries, lemon slices, the fresh pineapple leftover and a bit of honey if needed.

This beverage has become my favorite! Plus it ensures I stay hydrated, consuming extra nutrients, and enjoying more pineapple! It’s a win win!

Tasty Thursday’s is back!
