🎻 The Fastest String Arrangement I’ve Ever Done (And Some Big News…)

Feb 06, 2025 12:41 am

Hey friends,

I hope this email finds you well and warm. Things here have been nothing short of magical and, honestly, a little wild. Right now, I’m looking out at a winter wonderland. We’ve been snowed in up here in Ashland, and I’ve never seen so much snow in my life. The driveway shoveling, the snowbanks, the quiet streets—it’s been a mix of cozy and chaotic.

But what’s really stood out has been this incredible sense of community that’s emerged. Neighbors helping each other, sharing tire chains, and digging out each other’s cars. It’s the kind of togetherness that reminds me why I’ve always craved connection—whether it’s with neighbors, friends, or this amazing music community we’ve built here.

I’ve been reflecting a lot on how connected I feel lately, and it’s been such a privilege to be part of your projects and hear about your journeys. We’re all creating something that matters, and I feel so lucky to be in this with you.

The Fastest String Arrangement I’ve Ever Done

Last year, my friend Alyssa Wilkens (pop producer extraordinaire) reached out in a bit of a bind. They needed strings for a song, but there was a catch—it had to be delivered to Julian Daniel’s manager in the next hour. No pressure, right? It was an absolute whirlwind, but we made it happen. It ended up being by far the fastest string arrangement I’ve ever done, and I’m so proud of how it turned out.

The song, “Northern Lights,” is out now, and I’d love for you to give it a listen. (If you’re curious, I’ll be breaking down the process behind it soon on my new YouTube channel—more on that below!)

Big News: I’m Coming to YouTube 🎥

Speaking of creating, I’m thrilled (and nervous!) to share that I’m re-launching my YouTube channel. For years, I’ve felt like short Instagram videos never gave me enough time to really share something meaningful or connect in the way I want to.

But YouTube feels different. It feels like a space where I can go deeper, tell stories, share lessons, and really bring you into the projects I’m working on.

I’ve been collaborating with an incredible video editor who totally gets my vision, and we’re working hard behind the scenes to make this happen. There’s a lot to figure out—new equipment, green screens, better audio—but I’m so excited for what’s next. My first video will include insights into projects like “Northern Lights,” and I can’t wait to share them with you.

When the channel launches, it would mean the world to me if you’d check it out, like a video, subscribe, and maybe share it with someone in your world. I’m nervous about this big transition, but I really believe this is the next step in creating something more meaningful, and I’d love your support. If you’re feeling excited about it, go ahead and subscribe now and be the first to see what’s coming up: https://www.youtube.com/harleyeblen

Thank You

As I sit here watching the icicles drip, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for being part of this journey, for trusting me with your songs, and for being the kind of people who remind me why I love this work. Whether it’s collaborating on music, sharing a virtual cup of coffee, or just staying connected through these emails, I’m so grateful for you.

Talk soon,

Harley

P.S.

If you’re working on a song that might need a little extra magic—maybe some strings to pull it together—I’m here. Just hit reply, and let’s talk. I’d be honored to help bring your project to life.
