This week we have been enjoying the monarchs happily fluttering around our meadow blazing stars. We have been growing these in our yard for a few years now and they are a definite highlight!

If you are interested in having monarchs in your gardens and getting to watch them all day long, then you surely want to add this to your gardens. We initially started them in one spot the first year and shocked is a good word to describe our reaction to the monarch traffic we got on them. We now have them in at least 3 different locations around our yard.

One spot is off our back deck and I feel so spoiled to get to sit on our deck and watch often several monarchs flying around them. It is really a treat. And, the amazing thing is they will hang around all day long! And, you will see other butterflies & skippers, too.

These are taller and can get a spindly look, so Joe has some suggestions for you on locations to grow them to get the best results there in our growing guide. Enjoy!
