Greetings!

We hope this weekend finds you well. We are dealing with two days of extreme heat here, but thankful it will return to the 70's after today.

One of our weekend garden projects is creating a new vegetable garden area for our kids. They have been planning what to grow, helping start their plants from seed, and now will help with creating their own garden area. We will use the cardboard method to kill the grass.

I would also like to highlight a native that is getting ready to bloom in our area, hairy beardtongue. It's a great choice in landscaping, as it stays compact and is not an aggressive spreader. If you got last week's newsletter, you may have noticed it was included on my "10 Natives With Curb Appeal" post.
