Greetings,

Hope this message finds you well! We are about to take a turn from the unseasonably warm temps we have been hanging on to here and have our first freezing temps this coming week. I have to say I am looking forward to it.

Joe is out working on the leaves in our vegetable garden and starting a new compost pile this morning. The kids & I are having a quiet morning and I wanted to take a moment to highlight some areas of the website that I want to make sure you are aware of & know how to find.

ON THE BLOG: Where to Buy Native Plants in the United States

This resource is found under the Native Plants tab & has a map that you can zoom in and look for nurseries near you. It also has lists by state, as well as a list for online options. (This resource continues to be added to.)

ON THE BLOG: The Difference Between Cultivars and Varieties

This is also found under the native plants tab. This guide can be helpful to refer to for a brief explanation for yourself, as well as to share when the topic of cultivars comes up in discussion.

ON THE BLOG: 101 Things You Can Compost

This is found under the composting tab and includes information in the article and then links to a printable for you on 101 things you can compost. Another great resource to save & share.

ON YOUTUBE: Dewalt 20V Electric Chainsaw

This video is 2 years old, but I wanted to highlight it for you for those who may be looking for a tool like this and have not considered an electric option. This has been a great tool for assisting with invasive removal on the back of our property.

  • Blue Nest Beef (Audubon Conservation Certified Ranches) - Loving the Bobolinks beef sticks. These have become my grab and go snack of choice. Made from American grass fed beef from responsible ranching practices, simple ingredients, & preserved via fermentation. These would be great stocking stuffer ideas, too! Read more about them here. They also have ground beef, steaks, chicken, and more.
