ON THE BLOG: Late Boneset & White Snakeroot

Greetings,
I kind of chuckled this morning in the car listening to the radio. The announcer was giving the weather and said it would be sunny and a high of 82 degrees today. Then, they followed that saying 'and that's what it'll be for the foreseeable future'.
We have definitely been stuck in a beautiful weather pattern; however, it's been extremely dry! Natives are fairing ok, but lawns are brown and crunchy!
Today, we would like to share an interesting late season bloomer. While it may not be a 'showstopper' visually, it provides late season food to bees, butterflies, and moths. On the other hand...it is very toxic to mammals and may have been what killed Abraham Lincoln's mother!
Enjoy learning all about White Snakeroot today!
