Greetings,

We got our first touch of frost overnight last night. We still had a bunch of tomatoes on the plants, so Joe was able to get those picked last evening.

We had a busy day. As I was cleaning up the kitchen for the night, I looked out to a light in our garden. That was him, picking tomatoes with a flashlight, lol. But, grateful for more tomatoes on the kitchen counter.

It finally feels like Fall now, crisp cool mornings and lots of Fall décor to take in as you drive around or go for walks. One of the first things that I bet comes to your mind with Fall decorating is......mums!! What Fall front porch vignette is complete without a few mums sitting on the steps, right?!

Well, I'd like to broaden our thinking on that one, if we might! There's another flower that I'd like to be right up there when you think of Fall....and that is aster! There are a number of varieties, but all later season bloomers that can offer a lot more to pollinators than those mums.

Today, we'd like to share one of the latest blooming asters....Aromatic Aster. Enjoy learning all about this beauty today.
