Greetings,

Happy autumn! You may be enjoying apple picking and Fall festivals at orchards in your area these days. Unfortunately, we've been stuck in a drizzly pattern for the past week here, so it hasn't been great weather for those activities.

But, if you have apples on your mind, we have a new guide for you on growing apple trees from seed. If this is not something you have done before, join us and give it a try!

Hi Joe and Tara, Even though I’ve been planting mostly native plants for 2 years I am definitely a native plant newbie. I watch your YouTube presentations very often and they're the one I go to first. I have to admit that I’ve found the transition a bit difficult when it comes to height, bloom time and plants that flop and specifically the aphids on my Swamp Milkweed which is looking very unslightly. You see I’m not crazy about insects. I was attacked by a wasp and got a very painful sting! I’m truly petrified of them. I am beginning to appreciate the bees and moths buzzing around my garden. I’m planting natives on the slope of a pond, removing non natives and invasive grasses and I’m always in the “brush”. I have found ticks so I try to cover up and apply detergent and gloves but sometimes I’m careless.
