It is that time of the season where we are enjoy inspecting our natives for signs of life. This could be looking for signs of leaves being dined on, noticing butterflies hanging around their host plants hoping they stop to lay their eggs, etc.
One of the most popular natives may be butterfly weed. It is known for being a host to the monarch butterfly. If you have gotten the chance to observe monarch caterpillars on butterfly weed, I'm sure you would agree it is a treat!
