Since we have officially entered Spring, it seemed only fitting that I had to highlight a real 'spring beauty'...so, I am going to do just that!

Earlier in March, I highlighted our resources on Virginia Bluebells, as we think it's a great one to consider as an alternative to the traditional spring bulbs many people are accustomed to planting in residential settings. Today, we will focus on Spring Beauty. It is one of the earliest Spring wildflowers to bloom in the Eastern United States. It is a Spring ephemeral that is a member of the purslane family.
