Uncle Ejimi is a wise man sha

You know how you feel when you walk across the streets,

And one thought just hits you.

It was probably something you were ruminating on, and you made little progress...

Then suddenly, in the bathroom, or in a bus, or whenever possible,

You experience that light bulb moment and boom!

You just exclaim; Uncle Ejimi is wise oh.

That is exactly what happened to me recently.

Uncle Ejimi like I love to call him (popularly known as Ejimi Adegbeye) is undoubtedly one of the most intelligent men I have known. And effortlessly intelligent too.

He is known as Africa’s no 1 forex coach, with a proven track record of success.

Why he is spectacular is because his wisdom is undeniable, and without struggles. There are no necessarily 10 keys or structured way he helps you when you meet him. It could just be in a joke, or a passing statement or something he says to someone else, and aha! You receive insight into something you have been bothered about for a while.

Recently, I was opportune to be in the same room with him and his wife, he said;

Grace, all employees have the same mindset. They are looking for ways to get paid without working.

It made sense in a way to me as I was thinking about my current situation.

But weeks after, it more than made sense. And it was proven right time and time again.

As I got to interact with team members, both mine and in other organizations, I realized that nothing ropes them in as much as hearing how much remuneration is attached to their offer.

As soon as the focus is on the pay, and they are bought in immediately by the money; they automatically believe they can do the job. It becomes easy for our mind to try to circumvent processes, in a bid to make the money come faster to us.

It is same as dangling a candy in front of a child and all he thinks is how to get it, not minding the obstacles immediately before him. He overlooks this, and easily trips as he makes his way for the candy.

The conclusion is this; Money is blinding.

And don’t you think employees are as specific as I made it seem. We are all employed one way or the other, formally or otherwise.

Money constantly moves. So it is easy to lose money as soon as you earn it.

However, money is constantly attracted by people who respect it. When you realize that money should leave you only as an investment, you will be fully assured that it will be back. Investment always yields returns (good or bad).

With that confidence, you will look beyond enticing opportunities and see responsibilities. You would become absorbed with counting costs, and not just the end results. You will start to enjoy the journey to growth.

We all just want to make money without working. But until you see money as not the ultimate reward for work, you will be blinded always, by it.
