Telling the RIGHT STORY

Apr 12, 2021 1:01 pm

Two days ago,

I met a very pretty girl at a speaking event

She walked up to me

After the event, looking quite downcast.

I inquired to know what was going on,

And then she opened up saying;

I honestly don’t know what to do with my life.

It was a story I had once been familiar with.

I had repeated the same words over and over

And it became my testimony.

I just smiled,

And told her to reach me the next day.

When she reached me,

She wanted me to recall her

And guess what she used as a calling point?

I am that girl who doesn’t know what to do about her life.

We all have calling points in our lives.

And these are the lingering memories

Many people would have of us when

We are not in the room.

As soon as I discovered this,

I decided that my narrative had to be different.

I wanted my name to be associated with something different.

But she actually needed help with direction.

Should she have lied?

Just so that she isn’t labeled confused?

NO!

That’s not what I mean.

We all have stories.

But there is a right way to tell the story.

If she had started off with progress reports,

And told me just where she is at,

What she loves or intends to do,

And where she is stuck,

She would have been labeled differently.

People are inspired by progress

So progress stories are one of the best sellers.

You cannot go wrong with one.

And the best progress story to tell

Is one of your consistent transformation.

If you need help in telling your story,

Now is the time to let me step in with you.
