The most important decision of your life...
May 24, 2025 3:45 pm
Here's a mind-bender for you on this glorious Saturday...
The most important decision for your writing isn't:
- What niche to pick
- What platform to publish on
- What course to buy
It's much simpler (but also a bit harder):
What do I write next?
Not tomorrow.
Not when inspiration strikes you like Zeus chucking a lightning bolt.
Not when the conditions are perfect.
Ahora kanka.
RIGHT.
NOW.
See, your writing life isn't built through grand declarations or vision boards.
It's built in those micro-moments when you choose between:
- Opening a blank page... or opening TikTok.
- Writing that difficult paragraph... or checking email.
- Finishing your thought... or grabbing another coffee.
These tiny, seemingly insignificant choices compound faster than crypto in 2021 (and crash harder when neglected).
The top 1% of writers aren't necessarily more talented than you.
They just consistently choose to write NOW instead of "later."
Because they're experienced enough to know that "later" doesn't even exist.
Every time you choose "now," you're literally rewiring your brain to make that choice easier next time.
That's the secret sauce.
And I've just poured it all over your beautifully cooked Sirloin steak.
So here's your challenge for this weekend:
After reading this email, write something.
Anything.
Even if it's just one paragraph.
Hell, even if it's just a sentence.
- Don't overthink it.
- Don't wait for permission.
- Don't wait until you "feel ready."
Because what you do in the next few seconds matters more than what you plan to do next year.
Have a great Saturday,
Godfrey
