I realized this from watching Myron Golden—and it changed how I post

Hey ,

I’ve been doing a lot of observing lately—watching what gets shared, what gets ignored, and what actually moves people.

And something clicked.

I was scrolling past a clip of Myron Golden—the kind of clip that’s just a clip of someone talking, no name tag, no intro, no branding, and it had hundreds of comments.

Now I know who Myron is, but there are many people who may have never heard of him especially if they haven't been in this space a while.

But the clips were not about him. It was about what he said. And what I know about Myron it's strategic.

People weren’t reacting to the personality… they were reacting to the moment.

And that reminded me of something I’ve seen again and again on TikTok:

You don’t grow by explaining who you are.

You grow by saying something that stops a stranger from scrolling.

I’ve followed Myron Golden since 2017. He’s brilliant—hands down one of the smartest business minds out there. But if you only knew him through his TikToks, you’d have to click in to discover all about him; it's not thrown in your face in his clips; instead, he throws the message and lets you catch it and get intrigued about the messenger.

And that’s the part I want to highlight.

TikTok is built for discovery.

It shows your content to people who don’t know you first—

gives it 200–300 views from complete strangers.

Then it decides: Does this clip deserve more reach?

That’s not how most platforms work.

It’s why I’ve shifted how I post.

  • Less intro. More impact.
  • More topics based on search, not feelings or just things I wanted to say
  • Faceless or not, a message that moves people.
  • And lean into an algorithm that is built to reward that.

So whether you're starting fresh or repurposing what you already have—

Remember: TikTok isn’t about who you know.

It’s about who’s looking for what you’re about to say.

P.S. When I stopped leading with my “intro” and started focusing on the moment—everything changed. The right people will find you. Trust that.
