We’re doing things differently this summer, and it’s paying off

I've been a little quiet on FB and some of the other platforms lately, not because they are acting up and deleting content again. (That's a story for another email) But because the content winds are changing and SEO is taking a new shape and form on social channels like TikTok.


I wanted to share something I’ve been working on quietly over the past few months, something that’s made a real difference in how I approach content and visibility, especially short-form video.


In April, I focused on growing my TikTok presence. I was getting engagement, some traction, but I was struggling. The ideas weren’t connecting the way I wanted. I got thousands of views talking and Target Boycots and Shedeur Sanders, but not much around tech and SEO.


I refined my messaging to speak to the TikTok audience, but the topics still weren’t catching on. That’s when I went deeper into TikTok SEO and discovered their Creator Search Insights tool.


  • It’s honestly more valuable for TikTok SEO than SEMrush or Ubersuggest combined, because it shows exactly what people are searching for right now on the platform.
  • I applied it on my main page, and to really test it, I created a faceless TikTok page too, no built-in audience, just data-driven content. (we need an email on this too....)


And the results?

✅ On my faceless page, search-powered posts are consistently bringing in thousands of views, 198k views this month on a new page, with no face, no personal brand attached, just smart topics + captions built on search demand.

✅ On YouTube Shorts, applying the same approach and content has helped drive over 27,000 views in just one month — again, powered by the right content + search-first strategy.

✅ And on my own page, I'm not coming up in TikTok search for the right keywords.
