Do you expect Malaysia? UPDATED

If you expect Malaysia, you will get Malaysia.
I know that's an extremely confusing topic, and you probably think, "Expect Malaysia. What are you talking about?" Keep reading and I promise it will all make sense.
MALAYSIA HERE I COME
Eight years ago, I was in a speech competition with my friend Bill, who was also an excellent speaker. While there were other contestants, they weren’t as polished as he or I. The winner of the competition would travel to Malaysia to represent the United States against other countries' speakers. I really wanted to win because I had worked so hard, but instead, I learned an important lesson about the power of expectancy.
ARROGANT BILL GETS WHAT'S COMING TO HIM
I was standing next to Bill when an older gentleman in his late 60s walked up to us and said "You two guys are the best speakers in this contest, which of you will be going to Malaysia? I looked at the guy and said half-heartedly "I don't know we shall see." Bill on the other hand responded boldly by saying "I'm going to Malaysia." After hearing him say that, I thought to myself "Bill is arrogantly proclaiming that he'll win even though we haven't competed yet".
EXPECTANCY VOW
Bill's prediction came true; he won the competition and went to Malaysia because he expected Malaysia. That day, I vowed to myself that I would expect the results I desire in life. You, too, may have a goal you want to achieve, but don't expect to succeed.
That goal is your Malaysia, and I encourage you to not just work towards it but to expect it, because YOU ARE WORTHY TO BE GREAT!
