Hi !
How was your week? Boring... tiring... disappointing? All of the above?
We all succumb to such events which at times we are not prepared to face. And during those times, we feel uncomfortable, less happy or less positive, occupied with the thought as to when it will end, asking ourselves why did that happen... or why does a particular person making your life difficult, why can't that person just be happy for you and let go of being negative... why did a precious loved one got sick or why did I get sick... why me?
It's normal to feel bad when things did not go as we planned. It's also normal to ask questions, and even to ask GOD about those things... and this is our consolation, or better yet, our reward. When we come to God and ask HE answers!
This is what the Bible says in the following verses from Jeremiah 29
"I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out - plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.
When you call on me, when you come and pray to me, I'll listen.
When you come looking for me, you'll find me. Yes, when you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else, I'll make sure you won't be disappointed."
Jeremiach 29:11-14, The Message Bible
Yes! As noted by the prophet Jeremiah, the God-of-the-Angel-Armies, Israel's God... OUR GOD WILL LISTEN! How?
When WE CALL, when WE COME, when WE PRAY, and WHEN WE LOOK FOR HIM SERIOUSLY... WE WILL FIND HIM and NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!
And let us put this in the proper context as well, that our coming is not of our own righteousness, not of our own strength, not of our own abilities nor knowledge... remember that we are blessed by God's revelation of Himself.
And thus, our coming is also of His mercy and grace that we are invited to call on Him, to come to Him, and to pray and look upon Him with confidence that He will be present... that He will be around... that He knows what you are going through... that He is thinking of you... that He is in control... that He has a plan and that He knows what's best for you.
GOD is OMNIPRESENT... OMNISCIENT.... and OMNIPOTENT! He is everywhere, He knows everything, and there is nothing He cannot do - because He is our powerful - almighty GOD!
I'll end this message with a line from an old familiar song, "when you cannot see the traces of His hand, trust His heart!"
