Have a meaningful holy week

It’s Holy Thursday, .

While others may have planned in advance where to go on vacation this holy week, these plans were foiled by the ECQ declaration.

Ikaw ba? Nag-plan ka ba of going out of town and unwind before the number of COVID cases in the country went up again? How sad right?

Bakit kaya ganun ‘no? Kaninoba talagang kasalanan? Whose fault is it - the government’s incompetence ba or other Filipinos being so careless? Other say, contributory to the heightening cases are the UK/Brazil variants which makes people-carriers of the virus infect others much easily.

Whatever the reasons are, it is useless to point fingers or do the blame game. This act can get us nowhere, instead of owning up to one’s responsibilities, decisions or acts made, why is it much easier to put the blame on others?

I could relate this to what happened with Adam and Eve when they ate of the fruit in Genesis 3 (The Fall). When God asked Adam, “Who told you that you were naked?...” Instead of answering God’s question plainly, Adam began to reason out and blamed Eve for his disobedience. Eve did the same thing, she blamed the serpent. And you know what happened, both Adam and Eve were casted off from the beautiful and blessed garden of Eden and were made to toil and pay for the consequences of their disobedience.

Yes, Adam and Eve were banished from the garden BUT let us not forget the other reason why God needed to do that. See Genesis 3:22,

”And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.” (NIV)

GOD banished them from the garden so that they won’t live forever in sin, or be forever away from the presence of God, do remember that our God is Holy. God had already thought of in advance of reconciling man (us) through His Way - the Lord Jesus. This is the reason why we needed to be born again (John 3:3, 6) and be born of water and the Spirit (John 3:5).

For due to Adam, the first man, sin entered and was passed on to us. But also, through the Lord Jesus Christ’s death on the cross, he paid our debts (sin). It is His blood shed on the cross that made us clean... clean and made worthy to come to GOD the Father.

The other reasons are as follows:

”For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whiever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

”For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

”Whoever believes in him (Son of God, Jesus Christ) is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have NOT believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.” (NIV)

God created man in His image and likeness, to be in communion with Him forever, that was His original plan. But when our foreparents sinned, GOD made a way for us to be reconciled with Him. I couldn’t and wouldn’t want to have the thought of living without God in my life! Could you imagine that?

Truly, God’s amazing grace cannot be fathomed!

He allowed His own son to live like man and to die like man in order to fulfill the salvation He offers freely to us... to those who would accept that gift of salvation and submit to the Lordship of Christ.

This Is God’s wonderful plan... that we be reconciled with Him and live in union with Him..

Whatever you may be going through right now, think of God’s wonderful plan. In this world, we shall overcome because God is with us and He will never let go of your hand... just hold on...

Have a meaningful holy week...

In Christ,

Ate G
