Hi ,
No one is going to pull you aside and say:
"Hey, that outfit isn't doing you any favors."
They won't. Because it's awkward. Because it's not their place. Because they're polite.
But they're noticing. And they're making decisions based on what they see.
Whether you're leadership material. Whether you look the part. Whether to take your ideas seriously or politely agree and move on.
None of this is fair. You know that. I know that.
But fair and real are two different things.
The people making decisions about your career aren't auditing your skills on a spreadsheet. They're forming impressions in hallways, in Zoom thumbnails, in the three seconds before a meeting starts.
Your colleagues' silence isn't telling you everything is fine.
It's just telling you they're too polite to say it.
Reply "SERIOUS" if you're ready to make sure your image matches the level you're trying to reach.
