This was a photo of my son where he and his group won a skating challenge. He really LOVES ice skating!

You can watch the video here:

He’d lace up his skates with that quiet determination only kids seem to have, and the moment those blades hit the ice, the whole world lit up.

The cheers with his teammates, the rush of winning that little competition that felt enormous… those moments weren’t just fun.

They were lessons. They showed him — and reminded me — that joy and resilience can coexist.

Even when things are uncertain, you can still find a way forward.

And honestly, that’s the same lesson many homeowners need in this market.

When you look at your home and realize you might be underwater, it’s easy to feel that same sinking feeling — discouraged, stuck, maybe even ashamed.

But unless you have to sell, those losses are just numbers on paper.

If you can stay put, breathe, and ride it out, the market will eventually bend your way again.

But if you truly need to sell — to get out of debt, to stabilize your life, to give your family room to breathe — then let that be your reset, not your regret.

My son skated off the ice with a win that day, but the real victory was learning how to fall, get back up, and keep moving.

That’s the part that matters.

And it’s the same for you: make the move that protects your peace, frees your future, and lets you rebuild stronger than before.

A Shift Toward Stability — The 2026 Toronto Market Outlook

For the first time in a while, the tone around Toronto real estate isn’t fear-driven.

It’s cautiously optimistic — and that matters.

Economists from RBC, TRREB, and other analysts aren’t predicting a boom.

They’re predicting balance.

Here’s what’s driving that outlook:

1.More supply is entering the market

Listings are slowly increasing.

More choice = fewer bidding wars

More choice = calmer decision-making

More choice = healthier market

2.Buyers have adjusted to today’s interest rates

The shock factor is gone.

People are planning again.

Running numbers again.

Searching again.

Stability — even at higher rates — creates predictability.

3.Borrowing cost relief is possible later in 2026

Not guaranteed.

But possible.

Even a small reduction in interest rates can increase affordability and confidence.

4.Balanced markets reward clarity

Emotional markets reward speed.

Balanced markets reward preparation.

This is where long-term thinkers win —

not because they timed it perfectly,

but because they moved with intention.

A calm takeaway

The needle is slowly shifting away from fear and toward stability.

2026 won’t be a rollercoaster — it’ll be a map.

And clarity always makes the journey easier.
