Instagram LogoJoin us at Warburton Trail Festival for the launch of TRACTION: Trail Action! Liz & Hilary will be hosting the seminar on Sunday afternoon, talking about the purpose and goals of this new initative, and how you can get involved. After all, the purpose of TRACTION is to get runners to take action and help protect and conserve the trails we love 💚 We would love for YOU to come with ideas for how you and your running community would like to get more involved in caring for trails, so we can build this movement and empower everyone to be active custodians of our amazing trail network. As @tourdetrails says, be good humans! 🙂🙌🏽 See you at 2.30pm on Sunday 13th March at Warby Bowls Club (opposite the finish line) #warbytrailfest #ForWildPlaces #TrailAction #TRACTION
Instagram LogoTomorrow is Trail Chat #10 with @majellb Join us at 12 pm AEST as we chat with Majell about his recent traverse across the proposed Great Forest National Park in Victoria’s Central Highlands. Renowned for its towering Mountain Ash forests, this ecologically significant landscape is under threat from native forest logging, further endangering the lives of vulnerable species such as the Great Glider. To further protect this precious forest, @majellb is bringing @footprintsrunning Camp to Australia in April, alongside @wild.allies and @patagoniaaus, to provide environmentally conscious outdoors people the opportunity to be active in advocating for this proposed National Park. Not only did @beauisms join Majell for part of the traverse, but he’ll also be one of the mentors at the camp 🏕️ Head to the 🔗 in bio to RSVP, and come along and hear more about Majell’s GFNP expedition and the upcoming camp 🌳🙌🏽 Photo: Cam Suttie, courtesy of Patagonia
Instagram LogoTRACTION: Yarra Bend 2 hours and 25kg of rubbish later… thank you to all who came along to our first TRACTION: Trail Action event on Saturday! 🙌🏽 In the aftermath of the recent floods in Melbourne, the banks of the Yarra/Birrarung River are littered with rubbish caught in the bushes and trees. The amount of soft plastics we encountered was staggering - they have slowly detonated in the summer sun, breaking down into brittle microplastics that will eventually make their way into the ocean 🌊 🐟 Join us at a future TRACTION event in the You Yangs, Otway NP or Gariwerd by RSVPing via 🔗in bio 👏🏼🙂 Image: @jtfilmandphoto
