When it hurts to even get up

Hi ,

There were mornings I didn’t even want to move.

It wasn’t just physical tiredness — it was soul tired.

I’d wake up and just lie there, staring at the ceiling, wondering how life went from sweet dreams to silent grief.

And I hated how heavy everything felt.

How even small tasks — brushing my hair, feeding my child, answering messages — felt like climbing a mountain.

But in those quiet, aching moments, a whisper would come to my heart:

“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)

Not “come to Me when you’re okay.”

Not “come to Me when you’ve figured it all out.”

But come now — messy, tired, undone.

If that’s you today, sis, please don’t push yourself to “get it all together.”

Sometimes healing looks like staying in bed a little longer…

Crying in the shower…

Or just whispering, “Jesus, please hold me.”

And He will.

He already is.

One breath at a time, okay?

With you always,

FJ "Feeling stronger and better" Lapera
