It's been such a rushed month for me that I'm a week late with this email. I hope you can forgive me!

To answer my own question, the best thing I never knew I needed is a Cuttlefish Cam.

Year nine students at Whyalla High School are engaged in a citizen scientist project. They have an underwater camera rig in the kelp beds off Whyalla, the largest known congregation point for the giant cuttlefish.

Trust me, watching these majestic creatures frill their gossamer skirts as they adroitly manoeuvre through the kelp beds, paying visits, courting and occasionally quarrelling is relaxing to the point of hypnotic.

Might have contributed to why this email is a week late!
