Dear ,
When we first started with our EX Zero Carbon Team in 2006- we received massive funding to fulfill a dream. It was to convert waste into green Hydrogen. Therefore we used steam in the reaction and not air, which brought back so many technical issues that our investors in 2013, after losing over USD 60 Mil. ran out of patience. Great news for us!
The process was far too complex, and it wasn't easy to stabilize the reaction overall. In addition, the gas prices remained low. Somehow, the idea of using Hydrogen to balance solar power for transportation in trucks and industrial processes took a lot longer to reach mainstream than we thought possible.
Now Green Hydrogen is the big hype! Everyone is talking about it, and governments cannot spend money fast enough on research and infrastructure. The hope behind this is a high-quality fuel that can easily be generated from access to solar energy and efficiently converted back into electricity. The incredible thing is that this market is still in its early phase, and this breakthrough is putting Zero Carbon into a pole position for the small and mid-scale market.
Especially the oil and Gas industry likes this idea since potentially existing infrastructure such as gas pipelines could find additional usage.
Now, why are we not doing it yet?
The simple reason is that Green Hydrogen currently is still simply too expensive. Also, there are no trucks available in large quantities, and most Hydrogen is generated from fossil fuel, so the Greenhouse Gas emissions are terrible.
So what we need is a cheap, decentralized hydrogen infrastructure! Now here is where as crazy as it sounds, we have a solution right here.
Watch in this week's Webinar how Michael Hofmeister, CTO at Zero Carbon, is generating 40% Hydrogen straight out of the reactor with the worst fuel possible. With another 14% of Carbon Monoxide (CO) converted into Hydrogen as well, we have just become a decentralized Green Hydrogen Processor- the best part. We can produce cheaper than any other process because, in general, we get paid for the waste treatment with a so-called tipping fee.
These results are an absolute Game-Changer, and we are reaching out for peer review right now. The laboratory tests in this webinar were done in a university-monitored program. Otherwise, I would myself have issues believing, but it happened, and it's big.
Enjoy this webinar, trying to find the right words and make the importance of this breakthrough more understandable.
We are glad we had this little chat. Please let us know what you think!
