Paraguay and Panama Just Crushed It (And Why I’m Not Surprised)
Oct 06, 2025 12:09 pm
The latest tax competitiveness index for Latin America just dropped…
… and guess which two countries are leading the region?
Paraguay and Panama…both of them, right at the top of the list.
This is just more hard data backing up what I’ve been saying all along:
Latin America is the Future…
...especially when it comes to freedom.
If you want to keep more of your hard-earned wealth, you go where governments don’t treat you like a walking piggy bank.
The Comprehensive Tax Index, published by the Adam Smith Center for Economic Freedom, ranked 18 Latin American countries across 40+ variables, including but not limited to income tax rates, capital gains, business taxes, and neutrality.
And once again, Panama and Paraguay rose to the top because they understand one thing Western nations have forgotten:
Lower taxes lead to strong economies, and typically come with greater overall freedom.
That’s exactly why I’ve been waving the flag for these countries, and Latin America as a whole.
They get it…and they’re doing what needs to be done to create long-term prosperity.
Latin America is on the rise, particularly for expats, with a plethora of easy residency options and favourable tax systems.
If you’ve been wondering whether Latin America is really living up to the hype…
If you’ve wanted to know how to get in on the ground floor of opportunities that could change your family’s trajectory…
Now is the time to make sure you have secured your complimentary ticket to the Expat Money Online Summit 2025: The Future is Latin America, which starts this Friday morning.
Over 3 jam-packed days this coming weekend, you’ll hear from me and other experts from across the region who will provide valuable insights on how you can craft a Plan-B south of the border.
The Summit is completely free to attend…you just need to register in advance.
I hope to see you there.
Speak soon,
Mikkel
PS. Summit presentations are available for 24 hours after they are live; I highly recommend checking out the full schedule and planning time to watch the presentations most relevant to you. After the 24 hours are up, the presentations will be locked away and only available to VIP ticket holders.
