Tomorrow morning we fly to Peru.

In April it was my wife’s birthday and I surprised her with a trip to see Machu Pichu as a present. 

It’s one of those places that has been on her bucket list forever and I figured this is as good a time to go as ever.

It’s interesting though because I was talking to a private client of mine and they asked if I was worried about spending money now, while the world is such a mess, shouldn’t I be saving my money or buying more gold or crypto or things like that?

It’s exactly because the world is such a mess that I need to be out there travelling and seeing the world, who knows what these sick politicians have in store for us next.

Yes, you need to be putting money into precious metals, yes, this is an excellent time to load on crypto, yes, this is a great time to be buying foreign real estate and land.

But you also need to live your life and enjoy yourself. I don’t want another year to go by and they make believe some new crisis as a way to lock people up like what is happening in Belgium with monkeypox. It’s absurd.

On my deathbed (hopefully a hundred years from now) I want to know that I travelled and lived overseas in new and interesting countries as much as I possibly could. Since I was a teenager I knew I did not want to wait until I retired at the age of 65 and THEN go and do the things I loved. No, I want to do them right from the start and build my life around that.
