Sadly, there weren't many whales on my trip last week. The annual migration to the south coast of Australia did not occur in the usual numbers. There were none in Fowlers Bay when I visited. There was a lack of seabirds also. It was still a great trip and I enjoyed the circuit breaker from writing life.
I saw two mums and their calves at the Head of the Bight.
