Hi

Already it feels as though I have been travelling forever. I spent three weeks in Italy, and then flew to Morocco. There have been both rewards and challenges. The rewards of course relate to the things I have seen, people I have met, and the experiences. Challenges result from the difficulty of getting accurate directions, finding food in cafes that wasn’t totally carb and sugar based, and interpreting the vagaries of Google Maps. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it wonders off with a mind of its own. I really miss good Australian coffee – a mug of double shot flat white.

Here is an oasis, overlooked by the Kasbah (fort) in Touit.

Morocco has been a fabulous and fascinating experience. I have stayed in one star establishments, and also 4.5 star. I have seen artisans working in the most primitive of conditions, yet producing works of art. Today, I took part in a silver jewellery workshop, being taught how the jeweller made some of the basic pieces of jewellery.

People have been very generous with their time, and so hospitable. This is a specific tour that I have taken, with a focus on the jewellery craft of the region. I have seen so much else as well, such as ancient forts and monuments, gardens, deserts, the sea, ancient architecture, etc.

Next stop will be Spain and Portugal. If you live in one of those countries, send me an email. Perhaps we can catch up for a coffee. I'll keep writing while I have a spare moment, but keep up with my travels in each newsletter. Let me know if you have any great travel tips. I'll be travelling solo, so happy to meet up along the way.

Safe Harbour in Sandy Bay

Safe Harbour has now been released, and sales are progressing steadily. Be sure to leave a review. Every book needs validation from reviews, and that is even more important with new books.

When a yacht's electronics fail, corporate escapee Harley Mendelson is forced to dock in the close-knit fishing town of Sandy Bay. His gleaming vessel, Ocean Dream, carries not just his lifelong sailing ambitions, but the weight of a past he's left behind.

Local fisherman's daughter, Lily Jardine, has salt water in her veins and cynicism in her heart. To her, Harley is just another city slicker playing sailor—more suited to a kiddie pool than the open seas. But as engine repairs stretch on, she discovers depths in the quiet stranger that makes her question her hasty judgment.

As Sandy Bay's rustic charm begins to crack Harley's defensive shell, an unexpected connection sparks between two people from different social sets. Yet Harley knows he has no right to ask more of the free-spirited Lily. And she knows that dreamers who chase the horizon eventually sail away.

Sometimes, the heart drops anchor when you least expect it—and the biggest adventures begin when you stop running from your past and finally find your way home.

A tale of second chances, sea-swept romance, and discovering that love might just be the best navigation system of all.

Covers for Harrow Series

All four books in the Harrow Series have now been re-covered, being the prequel (Wild Spirit) and then books one to three. What do you think?

Classifying the genre of this series has always been difficult. It contains some magic, some fantasy and of course some romance. The characters also appear very normal on the surface. I have oscillated between urban fantasy, romantasy and magical fantasy. I think I will settle on the last description for now. The series is a little witchy, but is light-hearted and definitely entertaining.

The free prequel is Wild Spirit. The series is available on Kindle Unlimited.

The Love Hexperts

An allied short story, sitting chronologically between Wild Destiny and Wild Tempest is currently published in ‘The Love Hexperts’. The Wild Card is my contribution to this anthology. If you would like to read about more witchy and paranormal shenanigans, with a bit of spice thrown in, you can find the book Here .

Welcome to CovenFest!

Witches and warlocks, sorcerers and spellcasters, come for mayhem and magic surrounded by Enchantment Mountains. Monsters, too, are invited.

As the world's royalty of witchcraft and wizardry descend on Leavenworth in rural Washington State for their week-long annual conference, magic and romance ensues while the beer flows at Octoberfest.

The everyday folk have no idea witches and warlocks, sorcerers and spellcasters, and monsters and mages walk among them.

Heroes and heroines talk to the dead, howl at the moon, dance under the stars and summon the powers that lurk in the shadows at the Monster Mash Ball on Halloween.

Romance is definitely not on the conference program, but hexing your ex is, for a price. While secret crushes and enemies alike will be tormented and cursed, the witches and warlocks, monsters and magic users just might save the world. And find true love.

Sink your fangs into eleven wickedly swoony and deliciously spooky tales of witchy romance. Enjoy fairytales with a steamy twist where happily ever afters are guaranteed and will make you laugh and gasp.

Contributing authors are Sabrina Duval, Louisa West, Fiona M Marsden, HM Hodgson, Clarissa Morgan, Zelda Hartland, Sharyn Swanepoel, Emily Hussey, Melanie Pickering, Angelica Grymm and Savannah Blaize.
