I have been back in Adelaide for three weeks now, and of course, the travelling experience is fading. Not forgotten though, and already I am thinking of future travels. I have discovered that I love train travel, and would like to do some of the epic trips across Europe that are available. Of course, there are a few in Australia that are worth pursuing as well. My next local trip will probably be by car though, and that should be to Tasmania. For those who are unsure of Australian geography, Tasmania is an island state to the south of Victoria. It is a great location for viewing the Southern Lights, and is known for its natural attractions, plus of course good food and other experiences.
Coming back to the heat was a change after trudging through snow in London and Amsterdam. I have had to spend some time in the garden, nurturing scorched plants, and replacing those who didn’t make it. I should apply more mulch later today, keeping those roots at a lower temperature. In the meantime, I am grateful for my ceiling fans and the air conditioning. Sleeping under the fan is bliss in hot weather.

Yes, I have been writing since I returned. It has taken a while to get back into the groove, but this time I’m working on something totally different. It’s a dark, serial killer romance, and yes, it has a higher spice level. Watch this space.
