Hi
I know it’s officially autumn, but it has still felt like a long hot summer. Lucky I have the beach close by. I have headed down for some early morning dips, and the water has been beautifully cool. There is something special about watching the sunrise while lying back and floating on the surface of the sea. When strolling back home, I usually stop off for a coffee at one of the early morning café’s.
On other days, I simply stroll along the beach before the day heats up, exchanging greetings with the dog-walkers, joggers, and other heat escapees like myself. The picture below is yesterday’s sunrise reflected on the water. It’s such a magical time of day.

Although days have been busy, I have taken time out to enjoy the Chihuly Glass exhibition in the Botanical Gardens. The exhibits can be viewed by daytime, but at night, they are really spectacular. This exhibition travels around the world, and we are fortunate to have it on display in Adelaide for several months. Well worth seeing if you have the opportunity.
Since I arrived home from my travels through Europe, I have been busy with the next book. This is something quite different, and is released by my alter ego, Rowena Wylde. See the details below.

Avenging Angel
On Pre-order until 4 April 2025
She delivers revenge in the dead of night. He’s sworn to bring her to justice.
Zahra is an assassin with a singular purpose—to eliminate men who abuse and destroy the lives of the women they claim to love. The law has failed their victims, but the Avenging Angels have not. Silent, precise, and deadly, Zahra is their most efficient weapon.
Detective Hamish Doyle leads the task force investigating the so-called Angel Murders. At each crime scene, a small angel figurine is left behind—both a calling card and a warning. As pressure mounts to find the elusive killer, Hamish is determined to uncover the truth.
Then their worlds collide. The attraction between them is instant, electric… and dangerous. Zahra doesn’t realize the man she’s fallen for is hunting her. And Hamish has no idea that the woman who stole his breath is the very assassin he’s been chasing.
But when a sinister network is exposed—one that preys on the most vulnerable—Zahra and Hamish are forced into an uneasy alliance against a common enemy. As the line between justice and vengeance blurs, only one question remains:
When Hamish discovers the truth, will he bring Zahra in… or let her go?
This book is available for pre-order at $0.99. Release day is 4 April, at which time it will revert to normal price. Ony a few days left in which to download it at the introductory offer.

Seasons of the Heart
Emily Hussey has been busy. In 2023 AND 2024, she contributed two short stories to anthologies set in the town of Leavenworth, Washington State, USA. Those anthologies are no longer sold online, although there are still print copies available. Since the beginning of the year, I have written another three stores sit in this location, each addressing a seasonal holiday—Valentine’d Day, Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Easter. Titles Seasons of the Heart, that book will be available within the next couple of weeks as well.
The book cover is still with the designer, and will be shown to subscribers as soon as it is available.
Looks like the hot weather has been great for something – sitting inside in the air-conditioning and writing.
