Current Events

We are happy to announce that our vendor booth was approved for the Sugar Loaf Fall Festival! All our current books will be on sale so if you are local, please stop by our table! Hopefully the weather holds up, but rain or shine we will be there. It's a great event that showcases the craft village and other local vendors.

Writing Updates

I'm getting through another round of editing for Shades of Resilience and will hopefully be getting the manuscript out to some beta readers soon. It's been a tedious process going through 200+ pages over and over again, but repetition is key to fine tune every line.

Ashley has been making great progress with our illustrator, Sara Abbas on the "Heart Warrior" poem book, our codename for the project. You can check out her other work on her Instagram: @saraabbasart

This illustration is based on when Ashley and I were praying for Elliot during the fetal scans.

NYT Recipe: Apple Cider Baked Donuts

I made these a few times back in the fall of 2020 when lockdown fears crept back in as we prepared for a possible second wave of COVID (sadly the waves keep coming it seems). Baking the donuts in the little pan is super cool and not hard at all. Having a piping bag or set is very helpful once the batter is mixed to help transfer the mix onto the baking pan. Being the miser I am, my solution was to use a ZipLock bag and cut one of the corners as a makeshift piping bag. It worked! Apple cider donuts are absolutely delicious and great fuel for writing!
