Dear Wonderful Woman,

How are you doing?

I'm well.

Today I'm reflecting on the stories that we tell ourselves.

The stories that are living rent free in your head that are not serving your highest purpose when it comes to navigating and building your own version of career success.

When we tell ourselves:

📍I can't step forward to be more visible

📍It is better for me to play it small so I don't disappoint myself

📍I'm not going to get the job I desire because I'm not a perfect match

📍I shouldn't ask for more money, a salary increase or promotion because

📍I won't get it

📍I shouldn't ........

📍I can't ........

The stories we tell ourselves about our potential, why we shouldn't do something or why it's not the right to go beyond our comfort zone sound so logical and reasonable.

Sometimes we don't think to challenge some of the stories that sound logical and reasonable but are based on fears and our past.

The past does not define your future.

Imposing limits on yourself does not serve your highest purpose.

Seeing your potential, your possibilities and different options enables you to act to:

🎯To test and try new actions for career growth

🤩To step forward and to embrace your biggest career dreams

🙌🏾To feel the fear and do it anyway!

😍To believe in yourself and to take positive intentional action to change your results

Changing a long held story can be a challenge and it takes commitment to "call it out!"

Reflect on these questions:

1. To ask yourself is really true?
2. What can I do reframe that story?
3. What evidence can I draw upon to recognise this not based on facts?
4. What action or practice can I start to create a new story?

Ladies, let's make this September one that helps you finish 2023 having achieved your career goal! 🙌🏾🤩🙌🏾🤩
