Dear Wonderful Woman,

How are you doing?

I'm well.

Today, I am musing on growth and what it takes to expand your opportunities.

I'll bet that standing between you and something that you want in your career right now requires you to grow.

To do things differently.

To apply a testing mindset.

To believe that ick and discomfort of doing what feels uncomfortable serves your greatest good.

It can be a challenge to decide to embrace the ick, the fear and the discomfort.

Acknowledge that the fear you feel is real, and don't hide from it.

List all the worst things that could happen.

So that you can check what's fact from fiction and put in place something to mitigate what you think may go wrong.

And even when you take that action you may feel nervous, icky and uncomfortable, that's ok because once's it done you'll have results to improve upon.

Whether your seeking:

✅ A new job

✅ A promotion

✅ To become a public speaker

✅ To start a side hustle

✅ To start a charity or non-profit

It is going to take:

🎯 Acquiring new skills

🎯 Gathering your evidence and asking for what you want

🎯 Applying for opportunities which you don't think you're quite ready for

🎯 Believe in yourself and to see the value in the journey

🎯 More than 1 attempt

The pathway to growth is one that takes courage, commitment and a willingness to make one attempt at getting what you want in your career.

The message today is more than 1 attempt doesn't make you a failure!

It makes you an action-taker, someone who embraces growth and someone who is on the path to unleashing your fullest potential.
