2 ways to help you reach your career goals this month

Dear Wonderful Woman,

I hope you're well.

Yesterday was the final session for the Succeed at Failure Workshop an entirely new teaching experience that I had never undertaken before. It was the first time that I had ever done anything on this scale. I am pleased that I went ahead with it, and didn't let my own fears of success and failure put a stop to my action! I was committed to delivering this teaching experience and to learning from it.

I wanted to pause and reflect on 2 things which are doing new things and being committed to your personal development.

Why it's important to do something you've never done before:

The first is, doing something that you've never done before, that stretches you and pushes you out of your comfort zone. Doing something for the first time as an adult, tends to bring out our fear tendency and our risk adverse nature. I think that there is something to be learnt from changing our thinking on this to being curious, to seeing the opportunity, and also believing in our potential for expanding our knowledge and skills. ONLY by doing, can you actually experience it and know what you're truly capable of.

Why it's crucial to be committed to your personal development:

The second thing I'd like to reflect on is the word COMMITMENT. Being committed to yourself, and taking positive intentional action to develop yourself, and to go for your career goals is critical. Because with commitment you believe in your ability to be solutions focussed, to handle any outcome, and that in attempting it, there is soo much more to be gained! Excuses are not even a thing, because you know there is so much to be gained by taking action. I am really grateful to the attendees of the workshop for being committed, and seeking to embrace a new more positive relationship with failure. By working to implement these mindset shifts, you enable yourself to do what you thought you could not do, and see the value of the experience, you gain when you take positive intentional action. It may not always go perfectly, but it provides facts and not the fear based fiction in your mind as a means to derive your next actions.

I really want the resources and learning from the Succeed at Failure Workshop to empower you to go beyond your own self-imposed limits, to reach further, and to go for your biggest career dreams. So, I am making the worksheets available to my mailing-list for a limited time up until 12th Sept. If you would like access to worksheets from the workshop, they are available by hitting reply saying, "I'd love the Succeed at Failure Worksheets!"

Finally, I'd like to let you know that the Creating Proactive Habits for Career Success Webinar is coming on 21st Sept at 7pm UK time.

Breaking News: A Career Support community is coming & I need Your input!

I'd also like to share some exciting news with you! I've had a lot of interest in this webinar topic and this has inspired me to see how I can expand the experience. I am working on putting together a membership community, on supporting women to work towards their career goals, give them accountability, positive motivation, strategic advice, a monthly webinar, weekly group Q&A, and some worksheets for personal development. I would love to get your feedback on if that would be something of interest to you? So please, Click - HERE to tell me you're interested and what support you need to achieve your career goals. Thank you, I really appreciate your feedbacks and thoughts.

Together we are stronger, learn faster, and know that we are not alone with working towards our career goals. I believe in you and look forward to you having a productive September.

To your Career Success!

Warm Regards,

Ekua 💛
