Recently we have seen an example in the UK news media of how discrimination against women exists, the fight for gender pay parity and closing the ethnicity pay gap has a way to go.

And it makes me feel sad, angry and frustrated........ 🤬🤯😭

We need to talk more about money.

You need to do your research and ask for what you want and more.

Because if you don't ask, you won't get!!!!

Negotiating is definitely a must, and not something to shy away from.

Because we can be fearful that asking for more means that we're:

Greedy

Ungrateful

Have to sell your soul

And none of the above is TRUE!

I want remember that as you think about going for that promotion, your pay expectations for your next role and asking to be paid for speaking that you have every right to be compensated fairly for your incredible knowledge and talent.

I believe when women have more money in their purse, they can support themselves, their families, give to the causes they care about and create impact beyond just themselves.
