2 Reasons why getting out of your comfort zone is the thing!

Dear Wonderful Woman,
How are you doing?
I hope you're well.
I have personally been stepping forward and putting myself forward for opportunities that I wouldn't normally do. Because I want to give myself the opportunity. I don't want to count myself out before I actually know if that opportunity will be a fit. So rather than stepping back, I'm stepping forwards.
I've been having conversations with women who are taking action on making career transitions and are going beyond their comfort zones. It strikes me that as much as pushing out if discomfort is uncomfortable, is our fear sometimes worse than doing the doing?
So today I'm going to share 2 reasons why should get out of your comfort zone:
1 Because discomfort is temporary
Yes going beyond your comfort zone is uncomfortable and sometimes even painful. It can be like ripping off a plaster! After you do that, sure it hurts, but it dissipates after while. So whatever it is you want to achieve in your career, know that it's better get started and be a beginner, be nervous or scared. But once you've done it once it will be less painful!
2 Everything that we want costs us something
What I mean by this is everything that we do has a cost. The cost of you not going for the promotion, new job, pay rise or becoming self-employed has a cost to you. Yes there is discomfort in this journey, but ultimately there is also opportunity and what we want on the other side.
And finally, I'm excited to share with you that 13 people already have watched the replay of, "The 5 Surprising Keys to Unlock Cultural Identity & Career Progression Masterclass"!
Here's some feedback from a Lecturer at London University
"Excellent command of the topic, which was pitched very well. Ekua was relaxed, which helped to relax the audience."

If you too would like to watch the replay. You can do so: HERE Until 5th May.
Warm Regards,
Ekua
