Earlier this year, my partner Jon and I, started a new business. It was inspired by our marketing agency. Instead of doing marketing for individual companies, we would do marketing for a specific niche, using a brand we created ourselves, then sell the customer data to the actual service providers in that niche.
We were confident because we had been doing marketing in this niche for two years. It took us two months and $1,000 to make our first $100,000 in revenue.
My job was to build the backend. It was the type of work that would normally require a front end developer. Lot’s of automatically moving data from point A to point B based on what actions were taking on a particular lead.
In the end we built a whole marketing funnel, a database management system, automatic payments, weighted lead distribution, feedback and verification loops, and notification system without writing a single line of code.
We are not the only ones to find out you can build an entire, reliable, software business without writing a single line of code.
Makerpad is a whole publication dedicated to helping people to building software-based businesses without coding.
Justin Welsh, an ex-tech executive, has built multiple million dollar in revenue business without a single employee or line of code.
It’s just another example of how what use to cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to pull off now costs next to nothing.
It’s not who you know, how much you have, or your background that matters. It’s whether or not you are doing the right kind of thinking that matters.
A good solution to a real problem, a simple plan, and effort is all you need to make money online in today’s world.
